Pacová
2018 - 2022Pacová is an exploration of transformation, an act of reimagining and materializing the improbable within the natural world. Drawing from the lush subtropical landscapes of my homeland, I weave together cloth, digital printing, performance, and photography to give birth to the Pacovás—entities that exist in the liminal space between the organic and the surreal. These beings, simultaneously natural and impossible, embody a paradox: they feel as though they have always belonged, yet they are fabrications of memory, desire, and artistic will.
Each entity emerges as a hybrid of lived experiences and dreamlike reinvention, infused with the essence of botanical patterns, vibrant colors, and the fluidity of motion. They are collages of my past, my transformative present, and the futures I long to inhabit. Through this series, I seek to dissolve the boundaries between human expression and nature’s intricate forms, creating a visual language that speaks of roots, metamorphosis, and the endless potential for rebirth.
